Bri Dyer is a visual artist based in Toronto, Canada. Her work highlights overlooked moments and memories, emphasizing the beauty of routine life. Centered on themes of the Everyday and memory, Dyer often uses photography as reference. She believes true joy comes from appreciating mundane moments, and that overlooking them diminishes life’s uniqueness. In a society focused on what’s next, her work draws attention to what has already happened.

Photographs and paintings both capture fleeting moments. A photograph freezes time within a frame, while a painting adds emotion and symbolism, creating a temporal event. Paintings act as hand-made portals into memory and experience, extending beyond the moment captured.

Dyer’s work bridges the present and past, recontextualizing images as objects and inserting herself into their existence. Through both wet and dry mediums, she shares her appreciation for moments often neglected or forgotten.
